H-Bot ("we", "our", or "the app") is a smart home control application developed by Momentum Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the H-Bot mobile application.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
Device Information: We collect information about smart home devices you add to the app, including device names, types, network identifiers (MAC addresses), and configuration settings. This data is necessary to control your devices.
Usage Data: We collect activity logs of device state changes (on/off, shutter position) to provide you with a history of your smart home activity. This data is stored locally on your device and in your private cloud account.
Location Data: If you enable location-based features (geofencing triggers), the app accesses your device location. This data is processed locally and is not shared with third parties.
Network Information: During device setup, the app accesses local Wi-Fi network information to discover and configure smart home devices on your network.
Your account data and device configurations are stored in a secure cloud database (Supabase) with row-level security policies ensuring only you can access your data. Communication between the app and our servers uses TLS encryption.
MQTT communication with your smart home devices uses TLS-encrypted connections to prevent unauthorized access.
Activity logs and device state history are stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not share your personal data with any third parties except as described above for core app functionality. If you use the device sharing feature, only the specific device data you choose to share will be visible to the invited user.
H-Bot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Activity logs are automatically pruned to the most recent 1,000 entries. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of H-Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
